
ICC pushes cricket back to the Olympics in 2028

Paris: Cricket World’s governing body said on Monday that it intends to promote the sport’s return to the Olympics at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The International Cricket Council stated that it will begin preparations for an Olympic sport to point out that “the addition of this sport in 2028 will mark the end of 128 years of absence.”

Barclays pointed out that cricket will return to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022, which will include women’s T20 matches. This sport appeared at the Commonwealth Games in Malaysia in 1998, when South Africa won more than 50 games.
