The Pakistani badminton player and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games participant Mahul issued an apology on her social media account on Wednesday, after a video interview of her circulated on Twitter, sparking criticism.

In the video, Mahu can be seen saying that although her achievements have been praised, some Patan players are “jealous” of her.

The badminton player was criticized for mocking her companions and the entire race.

After the interview, Mahor posted a statement on her Facebook and Twitter accounts, apologizing for her statement.

She said that some Pakistani badminton players are carrying out negative publicity towards her, and she only mentioned them in the video interview.
