Hasan Ali is keen to help Pakistan win the ICC T20 World Cup

Fast bowler Hassan Ali set his sights on ICC’s upcoming T20 World Cup and expressed his hope to perform well in the game.

On Friday’s fourth anniversary of the Pakistan Championship trophy, the fast bowler recalled some memories of the game.

“It still makes me get goose bumps,” he said.

“It was very special and unforgettable for me. We didn’t get the start we wanted and were defeated by India in the first game,” he recalled. “We were ranked 8th and received criticism from all quarters, but we made a comeback and beat South Africa, Sri Lanka and England and then India won the final. This is very special,” Hassan said.

Recalling the conversation with the former Pakistan captain Safaraz the night before the final, the fast bowler said that he still remembered before the final “Saffy bhai” told everyone that we will wear those white suit jackets tomorrow, referring to those awarding the championship trophy The winner.

Hassan is also the best bowler of this tournament. He added that he is proud of his performance for contributing to the team’s success in the championship trophy.

“This is my first time participating in an ICC event and I want to make an impact. I worked hard and succeeded. At that time I was honored to receive awards from Saurav Ganguly and Steve Waugh,” the Pakistani fast bowler said.

He has now set his sights on repeating the same performance in his next ICC Championship, the ICC T20 World Cup.

“My goal in the T20 World Cup is to contribute to the team’s success and do everything I can to help my team win,” he said. “I will do my best to help Pakistan win another with my performance. An ICC game,” he said.

‘I used to cry’

The fast bowler then became the team’s natural choice and has been performing consistently before losing his form in 2019. He failed to perform well during the World Cup, and to make matters worse, Hassan was unwell after that.

This prevented him from participating in a cricket match for more than a year.

The injury that could end his career is a terrible injury. It was determined to be a herniated disc. The extended rehabilitation period caused Hassan to lose his center contract, and he gradually moved away from the focus.

“This is a very difficult time for me, I often cry when I leave my favorite game,” he said. “I lost the central contract because I lost everything I had because of cricket. It was painful for me, but my wife and my brothers have been inspiring me,” he added.

“I am also eager to make a comeback instead of giving up. I want to regain my position and my pride. I do my best to restore my health,” he said.

“One thing I realized is that hard work always pays off. I did all the hard work and it paid me back, so I realized my dream,” Hassan said.

Hasan made a comeback at the Quaid e Azam Trophy last season, and since then, he hasn’t looked back. The fast bowler performed well and started to pitch continuously for his national and domestic teams.

However, the fear of injury still exists in Hassan’s mind, and he is trying to avoid this situation again.

“I must continue to work hard. I know what I need to do to stay healthy and prevent the injury from recurring,” he said.

“I try to receive the ball in every game I play because I realize that it is important to receive the ball in the midfield, and this is what I try to do,” the fast bowler said of his performance after his comeback.

After transferring from Peshawar Zalmi before PSL in 2021, Hassan is currently playing for Islamabad United and has set his sights on achieving team and personal goals.

“The competition between PSL’s fast bowlers is very good, which is a good sign,” he said.

Shahanawaz and Wahab Riaz led with 14 wickets respectively. I won 12 wickets, as did Shaheen Shah Afridi. Like everyone else, my goal is to become the leading ticket collector for the tournament. Let’s see who can win the trophy,” Hassan said.

“The team atmosphere is very good. We are very satisfied with the current combination and believe that Islamabad United will raise the PSL trophy for the third time,” he concluded.

Hassan Ali became an international star from PSL

“Participating in PSL before my debut is like having tasted an international cricket match before participating in an international cricket match,” Hassan said.

“This league is a very good platform and has played an important role in my career. During PSL, I played in front of 20,000 people, which strengthened my confidence before my international debut, when I participated in the first game. In international competitions, I have enough confidence to deal with the pressure,” he said, adding that PSL must include emerging players in every final XI.

Hassan made his international debut during Pakistan’s visit to Ireland and England in 2016. Next year, the fast bowler will become the leading goalkeeper of the ICC Championship Trophy that Pakistan won after defeating India in the final.

Hassan also won two best player awards in the competition.
