New Delhi: Technology giant Google announced on Wednesday the launch of its Buds A series, priced at 9,999 rupees, marking its entry into the country’s personal wireless audio field. The Pixel Buds A series uses a custom-designed 12mm dynamic speaker driver that provides full, clear and natural sound, and bass enhancement can amplify deep frequencies. The device has an “adaptive sound” that can increase or decrease the volume according to the surrounding environment.

It also allows users to quickly switch back to their music using a simple “Ok Google, play my music” command after the call.

Pixel Buds A series can provide up to 5 hours of listening time on a single charge, and up to 24 hours of listening time using the charging case.

“Google Assistant is built into the Pixel Buds A series. Users can get quick hands-free assistance with a simple “Ok Google” to check the weather, get answers, change the volume, or read notifications to them.

“It also allows users to get real-time translations in more than 40 languages ​​(including Bengali, Hindi and Tamil) directly in their ears when using Google Pixel or Android 6.0+ phones,” it added.

The Pixel Buds A series will be available on August 25th.

According to data from Counterpoint Research, India’s TWS market grew by 68% year-on-year in the June 2021 quarter, mainly due to new product launches and functional improvements in the affordable price area.

The competition in the field of TWS (True Wireless Stereo) has been heating up. Since 2020, more than 40 brands have entered this market.

According to Counterpoint senior research analyst Anshika Jain, the third quarter will see more brands (such as Nothing Ear, Dizo and Micromax) enter across price points to grab a larger share of this undeveloped market.
