England coach Gareth Southgate (Gareth Southgate) may name a horse after him after Euro 2020.

Trainer Amy Murphy’s dual-use yard in Newmarket is called Southgate Stables. She has reserved the name “Southgate” to the British Horse Racing Authority (BHA) and urged football and Racing fans are involved as potential owners.

After the England team reached the World Cup semi-finals in 2018, Transport for London (TfL) changed the name of Southgate Underground Station in North London to “Gareth Southgate” for 48 hours.

“We have been working hard to be creative and come up with different ways to attract owners into the yard,” Murphy said.

“This yard is called Southgate Stables, so once they pass the group, they can book it.

“In this game, you must always be looking for new ideas and new ways to move forward. It will only be good to connect with new or existing people.

“There are a lot of connections (cars and football). Obviously there are Michael Owen and other bosses. These connections already exist.”
