Gang war commander was shot dead in Lyari

On Saturday, a local commander purported to be a Lyari gang war was shot and killed by an unidentified attacker near Lyari.

According to the police, the incident occurred near Dubai Plaza within the Baghdadi Police Station.

After obtaining the information, the police and rescuers arrived at the crime scene and transported the body to the Karachi Civil Hospital, where it was identified as 25-year-old Nasir Baloch, the son of Javid Baloch. The police said the gangster was associated with the Baba Ladla group and was the commander of the Lyari Dubai Chowk area.

He is said to have been involved in a number of criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, extortion and kidnapping. He was recently released on bail by a counter-terrorism court.

The police suspected that the gangster was trying to activate the Balochistan People’s Liberation Army network in Lyari. They also suspect that there is a conflict between Baba Ladla’s brother Zahid Ladla and the gang. The police have opened a case and are conducting further investigations.

Four criminals were imprisoned

On Saturday, the Sindh Rangers and the police arrested four wanted suspects in a joint intelligence-based operation in the old Golimar area. An APP report stated that they were allegedly involved in targeted killings, kidnapping for extortion and drug trafficking.

A spokesperson for the paramilitary forces said the suspect was identified as Mohamed Riaz, alias Batak, Tauchil Ahmed, Wishal and Tanville. According to reports, they were involved in more than 250 robberies and mobile robberies in different parts of the city, including Nazmabad, New Golimar, Huayuan and Ras Bellajok.

According to reports, they also admitted to the killing of auto parts trader Shabbirur Rehman and his nephew in the Old Golimar area on June 21, 2021.

At the same time, a suspect, Syed Mehtab Haider Kazmi, allegedly the leader of a gang involved in the sale of methamphetamine, was arrested by the Sindhi Rangers and the police during a separate intelligence-based joint operation in the Mehmoodabad area.

According to reports, the defendant was involved in the methamphetamine and heroin trade and admitted to buying drugs from a man named Bhaiyya in the Lea Market area of ​​Lyari and a woman named Mai in the Kala Board area of ​​Malir.

After his arrest, the Rangers handed him over to the police to initiate legal proceedings.

Girl hanged herself

A teenage girl allegedly ended her life in a house in Surjani on Saturday.

After receiving the report, the police and rescuers arrived at the Behram Goth property and took the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. The girl was identified as 18-year-old Alisha, the daughter of Abdur Ra​​​sheed.

The police shared the preliminary findings of an ongoing investigation, saying that the girl was hanged from a ceiling fan for unknown reasons.
