Islamabad: The National Command and Operations Center said on Monday that the government will allow train travel from October 1, but only allow individuals who are vaccinated.
At a meeting hosted by Federal Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar on Monday, the forum expressed satisfaction with the national vaccination process. However, it still urges citizens to make a second jab on time.
The meeting discussed measures taken during Muharram to limit the spread of the virus.
In addition, NCOC expressed concern about the rapid spread of the coronavirus in the country, especially in Rawalpindi and Peshawar, and instructed relevant units to follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the coronavirus to limit the outbreak.
In early July, NCOC announced that from August 1, 2021, domestic air travel must hold a COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
