Lahore: Police arrested former JUI leader Mufti Aziz ur Rehman and his son from Mianwali.
According to Geo News, a video of Rehman went viral on the Internet, showing that he sexually abused a student.
After the student claimed that he was blackmailed and threatened by Rehman’s son, the police have registered the former JUI leader and his son.
“If justice is not done, I will commit suicide,” the survivor said.
The head of the religious school where Rahman works has stated that the priest has been fired after the video went viral on the Internet.
Superintendent Asadullah Farooq has stated that Rehman and his sons have been asked to leave the Islamic school and the agency is not responsible for any of their actions.
At the same time, the secretary-general of JUI Lahore also issued a notice stating that after the video was released, the party has suspended Mufti Rehman’s membership and will continue to be revoked until the investigation is over.
The incident sparked anger on social media, with many people calling for the arrest of the former JUI leader.
Mufti Rahman said he was “intoxicated”
At the same time, Lehman said that the video has been two and a half years old, and the student was “used to deal with” him.
