Pakistan responded to a “shameful” tweet by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, stating that “distorting history and inciting communityism are the strengths of the RSS-BJP regime.”

When Pakistan celebrated August 14, the day it gained freedom from British rule and established its homeland independent of India, Modi said on Twitter that this day would be “commemorated as the anniversary of the horror of the subregion.”

In response to his statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: “As for the Indian Prime Minister’s tweet about the events of 1947, no modern country contradicts itself like the Indian country, the so-called’largest democracy’.”

FO stated that “it is shameful for practitioners of’Hindu’ ideology and disseminators of hatred and violence to hypocritically and unilaterally invoke the tragic events and large-scale immigration that occurred after independence in 1947.”

It said that distorting history and inciting communityism are “the strengths of the RSS-BJP regime.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out: “Far from curing old wounds, they will sow further disagreements for election benefits to any degree.”

However, it expressed its belief that the “well-intentioned Indian people” would “totally reject this political gimmick.”
