FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi arrives in Bahrain for a two-day visit

• Shah Mehmood Qureshi met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and senior leaders of Bahrain.
• The key areas of the conference are commerce, energy, investment, tourism, agriculture, overseas employment, information and broadcasting.
• FM Shah Mehmood Qureshi will also interact with local and international media.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said in a statement on Wednesday that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi has arrived in Bahrain for a two-day visit.

The statement said that Qureshi was greeted by the Foreign Minister of Bahrain and the Pakistani ambassador to Bahrain after arriving at Manama Airport.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs led a senior Pakistani delegation to co-chair the second meeting of the Babahrain Joint Ministerial Committee. The first meeting of JMC was held in Islamabad in 2017.

The meeting will focus on issues of mutual concern such as bilateral relations, trade, investment, overseas employment, tourism, and promotion of bilateral cooperation.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi plans to meet with his Bahraini counterparts and senior Bahraini leaders.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the two-day visit will include talks with local and international media representatives to convey Pakistan’s views on important regional and global issues.
