Islamabad: On Monday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi attacked Hamdullah Mohib, the Afghan National Security Adviser, saying that his anti-Pakistan remarks did not serve the country well.

The foreign minister is speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, speaking on various issues including the peace process in Afghanistan.

FM Qureshi said he was neither a spokesperson for the Taliban nor a lawyer for the organization.

“I’m just Pakistan’s foreign minister,” FM Qureshi said.

On June 5, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi slammed the Afghan National Security Agency’s comments on Pakistan and called on him to “reflect and correct” his actions.

In response to media questions on June 19, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the “baseless innuendo” of the Afghan National Security Agency and pointed out that Pakistan’s role in the peace process in Afghanistan has been widely recognized by the international community.
