FIA discovers Hawala and Hundi networks

The National Banking Circle (SBC) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FIA) claimed to have discovered the illegal business of Hawala/Hundi and seized millions of rupees worth of illegal contraband.

A spokesperson for the Sindh Province of the FIA ​​said on Wednesday that during the investigation, it was confirmed that the accused Abdul Vasai and his colleagues had set up an office at Yusuf Plaza on the 2nd floor of MA Jinnah Road in Karachi. They maintained several Bank accounts, which perform huge credit and debit transactions, are not commensurate with their personal data, are not inlined and abnormal, and they are involved in illegal activities such as Hundi and Hawala and smuggling activities.

The suspect is also obsessed with sending out the cost of Japanese used cars through the Hawala and Hundi showrooms on Khalid Bin Walid Road in Karachi. Therefore, with the approval of the competent authority, Bilal Aslam Khan, deputy director of the FIA ​​SBC, formed a commando team to search the suspect’s two premises and found a large amount of criminal material.

Seized materials

The seized goods included cheque books of different bank accounts, deposits of billions of rupees into the accused person’s account using deposit certificates of different banks, account books paid to different individuals, bills of lading, invoices and other related items related to the goods ordered for Afghanistan. Abdul Wasay bought Chinese cigarettes from the UAE and booked tickets for Afghanistan so that they could smuggle the cigarettes to Pakistan, a letter to the general manager, a Thar Dry Port Jodhpur (India) document officially signed by Usman Ibrahim, many payment checks Hawala payments, mobile phones and laptops, which contain criminal activity data of the accused, documents and other materials related to imported second-hand cars from Japan, four cars worth 120 million rupees, 3 billion rupees in cash and stored in different 3.4 billion rupees in the bank account.
