Engineer asks for technical allowance

Lahore: The Institute of Engineers of Pakistan (IEP) has asked the government to announce technical subsidies for engineers from federal agencies, otherwise they will be forced to protest and strike across the country from July 1.

At the press conference, IEP Chairman Javeed Younas Upal and Secretary-General Amir Zameer Khan stated that no technical allowances for engineers were announced in the budget. This is gross discrimination and exploitation of engineers.

They said that the provinces have implemented technical allowances for engineers, but federal agencies have not implemented them. They asked the government to announce it in the federal agency’s supplementary budget.
