Due to the COVID threat, CAA prohibits airlines from providing food on domestic flights

In Pakistan’s escalating COVID-19 crisis, with double-digit positive rates recently reported in major cities, the Civil Aviation Administration banned airlines from providing food on domestic flights on Thursday.
According to the authorities’ notice, these restrictions are in line with the recommendations of the National Command and Operations Center, which is the highest agency leading Pakistan’s fight against COVID-19.
CAA stated that all stakeholders are responsible for ensuring that coronavirus safety measures are implemented.
Previously, airlines have been allowed to provide packaged food from July 21.
Earlier today, Pakistan International Airlines Announce Passengers will no longer receive the usual half-liter mineral water bottle.
The notice stated that the staff will provide passengers with water in glasses upon request.
