Dual Wielding was weakened in Black Ops Cold War Season 5

However, Treyarch finally solved the dual pistol issue in Black Ops Cold War season 5 and changed the mobility of the weapon.

How was the dual pistol attachment in Black Ops Cold War season 5 weakened?

In the patch notes for Black Ops Cold War Season 5, Treyarch explained the weakening of the dual-wield pistol. They believe that most of the power is related to the speed of the weapon.

“Although the inability to aim at the target is a considerable trade-off, the speed of movement has always been the primary factor in the success of short-range weapons.”

With this in mind, Treyarch reduced the movement speed of dual wielding by 5%, and the weapon’s strafing speed by 5%. In addition to these weakenings, the attachment also causes the sprint speed and movement speed when shooting to be reduced by 5%. In other words, they are much slower and no longer have the same positioning capabilities.

This will be a major change in the top mode that may be search and destroy. Switching to dual wielding pistols will now slow down the player and slow down the route. This will cause the player to choose a single pistol, special weapon or shotgun.

Dual-handed pistols certainly need to be weakened, and Black Ops Cold War Season 5 may finally disappoint them.
