“Chad Mendes has a great comeback, but how did he perform? More than TJ or less…”
Darren Till talked about the fact that former UFC lightweight Chad Mendes has been teasing the comeback of MMA and UFC recently. Teal said that although Mendes’s comeback was great, he wanted to know how much steroids the 36-year-old had taken.
Darren Till hinted that he was referring to steroids with a needle expression, and asked Chad Mendes if he used more or less steroids than Mendes’ former Alpha male teammate TJ Dillashaw.
It is believed that Thiel made these allegations because Mendes and Di Lashaw were suspended in the past for failing drug tests.
As early as June 2016, Mendes was marked as a potential violation by the US Anti-Doping Agency. He claimed that the failure of the drug test was due to the topical cream he used to treat psoriasis. However, it was disclosed in July 2016 that Mendes tested positive for GHRP-6, which is a growth hormone release stimulator. He was sentenced to a two-year suspension. After his return, Mendes participated in two competitions in 2018 before announcing his withdrawal from MMA.
At the same time, TJ Dillashaw tested positive for EPO in the pre-match and post-match drug tests during the UFC lightweight title battle with Henry Sejudo in the 2019 UFC Fight Night 143. Dillashaw was subsequently stripped of his UFC bantamweight title and suspended for MMA competition. His suspension ended earlier this year.
