CTD arrested two “MQM-London militants trained by RAW agents”

The head of the Provincial Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Omar Shahid Hamid, announced at a media briefing on Tuesday that he had arrested two activists from a political party allegedly trained by the Indian agency RAW.

DIG Hamid stated that the Sindh CTD personnel coordinated with federal intelligence agencies to conduct a raid in Mirpurkhas and arrest two RAW-trained terrorists in connection with the Muttahida Qaumi London Movement (MQM-L).

He added that a few days ago, according to information shared by intelligence agencies, they raided a place near the Randi train station and arrested three suspects-Naim Ahmed and Imran Ahmed. Med and Alemuddin.

In the ensuing interrogation, DIG Hamid stated that the suspects revealed their connection with the MQM-London faction and stated that their six-member team was involved in terrorist activities, two of which were operating in Mirpurkhas.

He said that after the disclosure of the news, the CTD team, with the help of federal intelligence agencies, raided a place in Mirpurkhas and arrested Wajeeh and Abdul Aleem. During the search of their hiding place, a 131 rounds anti-aircraft gun, two 30 rounds .222 rifles, a 44-caliber rifle, a grenade, two Avon bombs and two 30-caliber pistols were seized .

During the interrogation, the suspects revealed that they were senior members of MQM-London. From 1998 to 2002, following the instructions of Altaf Hussain, Anees Advocate and Wassey Jalil, a system was introduced to send militants from Sindh to RAW They were later used in terrorist activities.

In addition, both senior members interviewed militants before sending them to India for long-term training, which included handling weapons and explosives. They also provided them with books, including “Saqoot-e-Dhaka”, “Inqeelab Rus” and “Andheri Raat ka Musafir” to brainwash Pakistan.

Waji and Abdul Alim also revealed that they had stayed in different locations in India, including Delhi, Bhojpur and Jodhpur. In addition, all costs are handled by Anees Advocate and Wassey Jalil. DIG Hamid said the suspect also revealed that Mehmood Siddiqui, the former president of APMSO, was hiding in India, where he served as an intermediary between MQM-London and RAW.
