COVID-19 killed 15 people and infected 1,808 in Pakistan

Islamabad: In the past 24 hours, 15 people in Pakistan have died of COVID-19, and another 1,808 people have tested positive for the disease. The death toll due to viral coronavirus infection has reached 22,597.

The daily situation report of the National Command Operation Center showed that 47,015 samples were tested in the past 24 hours, resulting in 1,808 people being diagnosed with the coronavirus.

The country’s current positive rate is 3.84%.

According to the breakdown of the provinces, the number of active cases in Sindh is 15,998, Punjab, 17,058, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 10,117, Islamabad, 1,752, Balochistan, 725, Gilgit-Balti Stan 665 cases and Azad Jammu and Cash.

The total number of active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan continues to increase and currently stands at 38,622.

According to NCOC data, the number of people recovering from the coronavirus nationwide has risen to 913,873, while the number of people affected has reached 975,092.
