Corona took 66 lives in Pakistan in one day

In the past 24 hours, COVID-19 has claimed 66 lives, bringing the total death toll in the country to 24,639. NCOC said that after 3,974 new infections, the total number of confirmed cases in the country has risen to 1,109,274.


A total of 996,426 people recovered from the pandemic, adding that the positive rate of infection was 6.91%.

NCOC stated that COVID-19 has claimed 68 lives across Pakistan in the past 24 hours, adding that 4,885 people are in critical condition.

To date, Pakistan has performed a total of 17,007,656 tests to diagnose the deadly virus, of which 57,460 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours.
Sindh province is the most affected area of ​​the country with 414,850 infections, followed by Punjab province with 374,916 cases reported.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province ranked third with 153,836 cases. So far, 9,482 new infections have been reported in Islamabad, 94,714, Balochistan 31,686, AJK 29,790 and GB.

On Tuesday, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) announced the closure of the COVID vaccination center at Ashura 10 in Muharran.

This decision was made at the NCOC meeting led by its head and Federal Minister of Planning and Development Asad Umar. The meeting decided that all major COVID vaccination centers will remain open in Muharram in 2009.
