COVID-19 has claimed another 21 lives in Pakistan, bringing the total number of viruses in the country to 976,867.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), after the latest inclusion of the death toll, the current national death toll is 22,618.

In the past 24 hours, 1,590 people have tested positive for COVID-19.
After 43,790 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours, the total number of tests conducted in the country so far is 15,152,403.

The infection rate dropped slightly from 3.84% yesterday to 3.63%

At present, there are 39,644 active cases nationwide, 732 people recovered overnight, and the number of cured people reached 914,605.

Yesterday, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant to Health (SAPM) Dr. Faisal Sultan stated that Pakistan is facing the fourth wave of COVID and urged the public to adopt SOPs and get vaccinated.

In a virtual media briefing, the Minister of Health once stated that when the country was facing the fourth wave of epidemics, the number of new coronary pneumonia cases surged. “The public should strictly abide by the COVID SOP,” he said.
