Corona took 15 more lives in Pakistan

In the past 24 hours, COVID-19 has claimed another 15 lives in Pakistan, bringing the total number of viruses in the country to 975,092.

According to the latest data released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the current death toll nationwide is 22,597 after the latest death toll is included.

As many as 47,015 tests have been performed in the past 24 hours, and 1,808 patients have tested positive.

It said the infection rate dropped slightly to 3.84% from 4.09% yesterday.

There are currently 38,622 active cases across the country. The number of people who recovered overnight increased by 670, and the number of people cured reached 913,873.
As of July 12, 15,941,609 people have received partial doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 3,942,291 people have been fully vaccinated against the pandemic. A total of 19,883,900 doses of vaccine were vaccinated.

On Sunday, Asad Umar, the Minister of Planning and Development and the head of the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), called for vaccinations for people over the age of 50, saying they are most vulnerable to COVID-19.

In an appeal on Twitter, the Federal Minister stated that Pakistan has a population of 27.2 million people, who belong to the age group over 50 years old.
