COAS General Bajwa meets with a 15-member Afghan media delegation at GHQ

Rawalpindi: Chief of Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with a representative of 15 Afghan media professionals at the Rawalpindi headquarters on Friday The regiment, said a statement issued by Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR).

In his speech at the meeting, COAS stated that the media can act as a bridge and create a favorable environment for the promotion of cultural and social and cultural exchanges between the two countries.

According to the statement, he said that the media and the people have a responsibility to identify and defeat those who break peace.

“Peace in Afghanistan is Pakistan’s sincere desire, because the peace between the two countries is interrelated,” COAS said, adding that saboteurs will not be allowed to disrupt the peace process.

When talking about Pakistan’s comprehensive border management system, General Bajwa said that border security is in the best interests of both countries.

COAS mentioned the benefits of regional connectivity to the two countries and emphasized the importance of restoring peace in Afghanistan to the sustainable development of the region.

COAS appreciates the initiative of the Pakistan-Afghanistan Youth Forum to organize journalists’ visits and hopes to exchange visits more frequently in the future.

“Pakistan-Afghan youth is the hope for future peace and progress in the region,” COAS concluded.
