Chief of Staff of the Army (COAS) General Kamal Javed stated that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions, adding that if the dispute is not resolved in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiris, it will not be possible to achieve lasting peace in the region.

The commander-in-chief of the army, Kamal Javed, stated that India’s illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K) continues to carry out the worst state repression and inhumane military siege, and serious violations of human rights and violations of international law have occurred in occupied Kashmir. At the same time, efforts are being made to change geography and population proportions.
COAS Bajwa said that this situation poses a serious threat to the security of the region, adding that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
