The Chief Minister of Sindh Province Said Murad Arisha called Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) a rejected party. He said that MQM-P has been accusing him of ignoring Karachi in the development plan, but in fact, Development plan The city has launched projects worth 479 billion rupees, and through the annual development plan, 1,072 plans are being implemented, totaling 9.17.9 billion rupees, and the allocation for this year is 1,093.6 billion rupees.
Under the Karachi Community Improvement Project (KNIP), the new road from Saudabad Chowrangi to Thado Nullah-Soomar Kandani, including the RCC Bridge in Khokhrapar, Malil, was completed, he said in an interview with the media on Saturday.
“they [MQM-P] After witnessing the continuous rapid development of the city, I feel uneasy and know that they will be completely eliminated by PPP [Pakistan People’s Party] In the next general election,” CM commented.
He said that instead of opposing the Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) that robbed the MQM parliamentary seat in the last general election, MQM-P joined them as an alliance partner of the center, and now they are frustrated and start to make baseless accusations against the Sindh government.
“You were rejected in the last election and you will be eliminated again in the next election because we serve the people of this city wholeheartedly,” Shah said.
He criticized the federal government, saying that it has provided the Punjab State government with a road plan of 25 billion rupees, but it has not even provided the government of Sindh with a plan of 4 billion rupees. “We are happy for them [federal govt] give [Punjab] More plans, but at least the federal government should give us a plan worth only Rs 4 billion. “
He added that the federal government has provided a small plan for Karachi’s marine reserve. “When the park or playground suddenly started to develop, it made us vigilant because we suspected that land grabbers had begun to looting them, but then we learned that PTI MPA has already started lifting work from federal funds.”
When talking about the budget meeting of the Sindh Provincial Assembly, CM said that he has been delivering budget speeches for the past 12 years, and it is not important that he cannot speak in the general discussion of the provincial budget in the House of Representatives this year. “but you [leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly] You should find out who orchestrated a conspiracy to deprive you of your first speech [as the opposition leader during the budget session],” he asked.
Shah said that this is the first time the PTI Marine Sanctuary has set foot in politics, so they do not understand political ethics. “When they saw the microphone, they started using foul language against their political opponents because it was their politics,” he said.
CM urges other provinces to declare 25,000 rupees as the minimum monthly wage in the Sindh government’s latest budget because their workers cannot provide meals for their families.
He said he could not let a worker or his family starve to death. “If we want them to make money, we must give them reasonable wages.”
Road works
When talking about the road project he started, CM stated that after launching a high-profile plan in Sardar on August 14, 2020, he subsequently launched an infrastructure project in Fishermen Chowrangi, Korangi, and now he has launched an infrastructure project in Fishermen Chowrangi, Korangi. Huge public interest in launching another high-profile project.
“There is a need to establish connections between highly urbanized areas and suburbs to help disadvantaged groups access urban facilities with better service levels,” CM said, adding that the Saudabad project is part of three projects to repair his government’s KNIP initiative.
He thanked the World Bank team for their continued support for the successful results, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and floods having a huge impact on the implementation of these projects.
He said that he has started an infrastructure project from Saudabad Chowrangi to Soomar Kandani village. “I am sure that this project will strengthen communication between urban areas and villages far away from urban areas, and will help people use convenience facilities far from where they live,” he said.
CM emphasizes the need to pay attention to sustainability when implementing such projects. “We are using our project to control environmental degradation, plant trees and maintain them for a long time, until the system matures and people start to love their infrastructure and start to contribute to saving our own investment,” Shah said.
He called on people to stop harming public property and help municipal services protect their infrastructure.
He also urged the government agencies responsible for maintaining these upgraded infrastructures to continue maintenance work so that the investment can continue to provide benefits beyond its design life.
He explained that work on the Saudabad project started on July 25, 2019 and was completed in November 2020, followed by the construction of a bridge and an extension road in Soomar Kandani village in March 2021. The length of the project is 3.5 kilometers, of which 2.9 kilometers is classified as a two-lane road.
Shah said that Saudabad Chowrangi has been redesigned and restored, and traffic management and safety interventions have been improved, adding that it has a 1-km-long sidewalk and a 9-meter-wide green belt.
The entire road is designed with new LED street lights, covering all dark spaces, suitable for driving on the road at night. Approximately 200 utility poles have been installed or refurbished on the road.
