According to television reports, China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC) has indicated in a letter that the company cannot continue the operation of the project due to the bus incident in which nine Chinese citizens were killed on July 14.

CGGC stated that the dismissed Pakistani employees will receive wages and remuneration in accordance with the contract.

Project Director Anwarul Haq confirmed that the Chinese company has stopped work on the project, adding that it will resume work once the security situation improves.

A bus carrying them crashed into the canyon after the explosion, killing at least 12 people, including 9 Chinese citizens who participated in the project.

The federal government has launched an investigation into this tragic incident, and a 15-member Chinese security team has also participated in the investigation.
