The statement was issued after a convoy carrying Chinese citizens was attacked in Gwadar, killing three children and injuring several others, including a Chinese citizen.

According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, a convoy of four Chinese citizens carrying “complete security details of the Pakistani army and police contingents” was attacked on the East Bay Expressway.

The statement added that the attack occurred on a coastal road close to where fishermen gather.

The Chinese delegation noted that the Pakistani authorities responded quickly and stated that after the incident, Pakistan immediately sent the wounded to Gwadar Hospital for treatment.

The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan strongly condemns this terrorist act, expresses its sincere condolences to the injured in both countries, and expresses its deep condolences to the innocent victims in Pakistan.

The embassy said that after the convoy was attacked, it immediately activated its emergency plan.

The embassy requires Pakistan to properly treat the wounded, conduct a thorough investigation, and severely punish the perpetrators.
