On Thursday, a group of blind people protested and blocked the court road, putting pressure on the authorities to meet their demands. When the protesters blocked the road, the police mobilized and dispersed the protesters.
Aram Bagh SHO Panwar Kumar said the police did not use force against blind people who staged protests and blocked roads. He said they were allowed to meet with the relevant authorities and the authorities assured them that they would cooperate fully to provide them with work, free medicines and other facilities.
The police officer said that 21 blind people are holding protests, no one has been arrested, and no cases have been registered against them. With the guarantee of the authorities, the protesters dispersed and returned to the Karachi Press Club, warning the authorities that if their demands are not met, they will oppose the holding of protests today.
