The Bharatiya Janata Party chairman Bilawar Bhutto Zardari said on Sunday that the Kashmir people “will not be dominated by puppets.”
His speech was delivered at the Rawalakot campaign rally in Azad Kashmir, with the aim of gaining support before the AJK Legislative Assembly elections on July 25.
“We have to convey this message to Islamabad that the people of Kashmir will determine their future for themselves,” Bilawal said, adding that this is the policy of the PPP.
When criticizing Prime Minister Imran Khan, Birawar said, “He promised the people of Kashmir that he would become their ambassador, but he became a lawyer for Mount Kubu.”
The PPP chairman strongly opposed the passage of the “International Court of Justice (Review and Reconsideration) Bill 2020” by the National Assembly, claiming that the parliament had no trust before the bill was passed.
“If Imran Khan wants to give Kulbhushan an NRO, he can continue. But PPP will never become your partner in crime,” he told the government.
In further criticism of the government, Birawal said that the Pakistani people “are bearing the burden of government failure and the slogan of’change’.”
He said that although occupied Kashmir is ruled by Modi and the Kashmiris are fighting Modi’s oppression, “the people of Azad Kashmir are facing the inflation tsunami of Imran Khan”.
“Imran Khan may remain silent, but the people of Kashmir will not,” the PPP chairman said.
“If there is a historic attack in occupied Kashmir, what should Imran Khan say I should do?” Birawal went on to say, in a series of statements condemning the prime minister.
Speaking to the prime minister, he said: “Try to vote for Kulbhushan in the name of NRO and see what response you get.”
Then he said to the crowd: “This timid puppet has become a safety hazard.”
“The people of Kashmir will send a message on July 25 stating that they reject puppets,” he said.
He claimed that not only the BJP will have a prime minister in Kashmir, but that the party “will also have a prime minister in Pakistan.”
“Let our Giara become prime minister, and you will first see an increase in wages,” Bilawal said.
AJK Legislative Assembly Election
