On Thursday, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his appreciation for the continuous efforts and sacrifices of the armed forces, police, intelligence agencies, civilian armed forces and other law enforcement organizations in responding to internal and external challenges.

The Prime Minister’s comments were made at a high-level meeting that reviewed the state of law and order and the implementation of the 2014 National Action Plan, which aims to ensure the security of the country’s length and breadth.

General Kamal Javed Bajwa, Chief of Staff of the Army, and Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid, Chief of the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces, attended the meeting.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, Minister of Law Dr. Farogh Naseem, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, DG MO Major General Nauman Zakria, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar and other senior civilian and military officials were also present.

While reviewing the state of law and order in the country, especially in the three border areas of Punjab and Balochistan, it was decided to establish an inter-provincial border committee to use the 2021 Pakistan survey to resolve border issues.

It was also decided to further strengthen civil and police management in the area to improve the security situation.

The meeting also approved in principle the five-year comprehensive socio-economic development plan for the underdeveloped areas of Draghazi Khan and Rajampur, enabling them to provide water, sanitation and education with the rest of the province, especially in the field of infrastructure development.
