The interim prime minister said that unidentified people attacked President Moise’s private residence overnight and shot him to death.

Interim Prime Minister Claude Joseph said that Haitian President Giovinel Moise was assassinated at his home.

Joseph said that on Wednesday night, a group of unidentified people attacked Moiz’s private residents and shot him to death.

The first lady was hospitalized during the attack.

After the legislative elections that expired in 2018 were postponed and there was a dispute over when his own term would end, Moys has passed decree to rule Haiti, the poorest country in the Americas.
