ASF arrested a heroin smuggler at New Islamabad International Airport

The Airport Security Force (ASF) thwarted a heroin smuggling campaign at the New Islamabad International Airport and arrested a person suspected of smuggling.

According to an ASF spokesperson, two kilograms of heroin were seized from the luggage of a passenger, Hamid Khan, son of Mo Ming Khan.

He will board Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-287 to Doha. Subsequently, the passenger was detained and then handed over to the Narcotics Enforcement Team (ANF) for further investigation.

The spokesman said that the value of the seized heroin is estimated to be tens of millions of rupees.

Earlier, the Anti-Drug Force (ANF) thwarted drug smuggling at Alama International Airport in Lahore.

According to an ANF spokesperson, officials at the airport cargo office inspected a suspicious package and found heroin hidden in trinkets. He said the seized drugs weighed 2.214 kilograms.

Lahore resident Shahid Riaz (Shahid Riaz) has booked a package to be sent to London.
