As the voting in the AJK election ends, unofficial results begin to emerge

With the influx of more and more people, unofficial and unconfirmed results of a large number of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly seats have been received.

Voting starts at 8 in the morning and lasts until 5 in the afternoon without any breaks. More than 40,000 security personnel including the Pakistani army, FC, Rangers and police perform their duties to ensure peaceful voting.

The unofficial results of the 2021 AJK election are as follows:

LA-2 Mirpur Unofficial Results
PTI’s Zafar Anwar led with 136 votes. Qasim Majeed of PPP ranked second with 87 votes.

LA-3 Mirpur III Unofficial Results
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results, PTI’s Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry led with 1539 votes, while PML-N’s Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed ranked second with 1479 votes.

Mumtaz Rathore of PPP: 353 votes

Chaudhry Aziz of PML-N: 305 votes

Unofficial vote statistics from LA-21 Poonch show that PPP is leading and PTI is in second place.

LA-15 Bagh II Unofficial Results
PTI’s Sardar Tanvir Ilyas led with 630 votes, while PPP’s Sardar Ziaul Haq came in second with 328 votes.

LA-28 Muzaffarabad
The unofficial result PTI candidate Chaudhry Shehzad led the constituency with 226 votes, while PML-N’s Murtaza Gillani fell behind with 50 votes.

LA-40 Kashmir Valley-1
According to unofficial results, PPP candidate Amir Abdul Ghaffar leads with 238 votes, and PTI falls behind with 111 votes.

LA-42 Kashmir Valley-II
Unofficial results showed that Pakistan Justice Movement (PTI) candidate Asim Sharif led with 221 votes, while PML-N’s Shaukat Ali Shah fell behind with 87 votes.

A total of 32 political parties participated in the AJK elections in 2021, and hundreds of independent candidates also competed in all 45 constituencies, including 33 constituencies in the AJK area and 12 Jammu and Kashmir refugees settled across Pakistan.

The remaining 8 seats are reserved, 5 of which are women, and 1 each for overseas Kashmiris, technocrats and religious scholars.

Outside a polling station in Bagh, two members of the political party scuffled, resulting in eight injuries.

The scuffle took place at the polling station set up for the LA-15 constituency.

The following is the list of candidates participating in the voting:

LA-1 Mirpur-1: PTI’s Azhar Sadiq, PML-N’s Chaudhry Masood Khalid and PPP’s Muhammad Afsar Shahid are expected to compete fiercely.

LA-2 Mirpur-2: Zafar Anwar of PTI, Muhammad Nazeer Inqalabi of PML-N and Chaudary Qasim Majeed of PPP are competing for seats.

LA-3 Mirpur: A close match is expected between Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary of PTI and Chaudhary Muhammad Saeed of PML-N. Sultan Mahmoud Chaudhry, the barrister leading the party in the region, is a strong candidate to lead the next government.

LA-4 Mirpur-4: Ch. Arshad Hussain of PTI, Ch of PML-N. Rukhsar Ahmad and Riyasat Tabasum of PPP are competing for the seat of LA-4 Mirpur.

LA-5 Bhimber-1: PTI sent Anwar Ul Haq Noor, PML-N put its weight on Col (R) Waqar Ahmad Noor and PPP’s Chaudhry Pervez Ahsraf is fighting in this constituency.

LA-6 Bhimber-2: Ali Shah Soni Raja (PTI) Maqsood Ahmad Khan (PML-N) Choudhary Idress (PPP).

LA 7 Bhimber-3: A tough match is expected between Chaudhary Anwar ul Haq of PTI and Chaudhary Tariq Farooq of PML-N. In 2016, Farooq defeated Haq by more than 2,000 votes.

LA-8 Kotli-1: Zafar Iqbal Malik (PTI) Zulfiqar Ali (PML-N) Muhammad Aftab Anjum (PPP).

LA-9 Kotli-2: Asif Hanif (PTI) Munir Hussain Khan (PML-N) Javed Iqbl Badhanvi (PPP).

LA-10 Kotli-3: Malik Yousif (PTI) Zubair Iqbal Kiani (PML-N) Ch. Muhammad Yassin (PPP).

LA-11 Kotli-4: Choudhary Muhammad Akhlaq (PTI) Raja Naseer Ahmad Khan (PML-N) Sardar Muhammad Bashir Pehalwan (PPP)

LA-12 Kotli-5: Shoukat Farid (PTI) Raja Muhammad Riasat Choudhary (PML-N) Muhammad Yasin (PPP).

LA-13 Kotli-6: Nisar Ansar Abdali (PTI) Raja Ayaza Ahmad Khan (PML-N) Muhammad Waleed Inqalabi (PPP).

LA 14 Bagh: Top contestants: Sardar Ateeq Ahmed Khan, former prime minister and chairman of the Muslim Conference, against PTI’s Major Lateef Khaleeq.

LA 15 Bagh: Best candidates: Tanveer Ilyas of PTI and Mushtaq Minhas of PML-N and Raja Yaseen of the Muslim Conference.

LA 32 Muzaffarabad-6: Top players: Sardar Farooq Haider of PML-N, Shahibzada Muhammad Ashfaq Zafar of PPP. The Prime Minister of AJK, Raja Farooq Haider, won this constituency in 2011 and 2016.

LA-33 Muzaffarabad-7: Dewan Ali Khan Chughtai (PTI) Raja Muhammad Farooq Hyder Khan (PML-N) Shaukat Javid (PPP).

LA-34 Jammu-1: Riaz Ahmad (PTI) Nasir Hussain Dar (PML-N) Sardar Zahid Iqbal (PPP).
