New Delhi: Google Maps is extending dark mode support to Apple iPhone devices. By changing the settings, Apple iPhone users will be able to use Google Maps in dark mode at any time of the day or night.

Currently, only Android users can use Google Play in dark mode at night or during the day, while Apple iPhone users can only use driving, walking, or biking routes in dark mode at night. There is no option in iOS to turn on dark mode in Google Maps settings.

However, iPhone users will soon get this option in the app’s settings in the coming weeks. On Android, users can use Google Maps with three options: always in lite mode, always in dark mode, or change according to the device.

In addition to getting the 24*7 dark mode update on Google Maps, iOS users can also share their real-time location with their contacts through SMS applications such as iMessage.

Currently, iPhone users can only see their exact location, and if the user leaves the location, the location will not change. However, according to a report by Mashable, iPhone users can now share their real-time location with their contacts for up to three days.

By default, you will be able to share your real-time location for one hour. However, you can change the settings to share the real-time location for a longer period of time.
