Another harassing video sparked outrage on Pakistani social media

Thousands of women in Pakistan have not yet recovered from the Minar-e-Pakistan harassment incident, when another video showing a Pakistani man sexually harassing a woman went viral on social media.

In the video clip, you can see that somewhere on a busy street in Pakistan (many people on social media say this is Lahore), two women and a child are sitting behind a light-riding rickshaw.

Seeing a few motorcyclists chasing the rickshaw, verbalizing and squinting at these women, these women were obviously disturbed.

A man suddenly jumped onto the rickshaw and forcibly kissed the woman. Surprised, she and the woman next to her screamed, but no one intervened.

One of the women took off their slippers and threatened to use them to beat motorcyclists. The harassed woman was very depressed and tried to leave the rickshaw in despair, but was stopped by her companion.

The rickshaw appeared to be surrounded by people holding cars and motorcycles carrying national flags, which indicated that the incident occurred during the celebration of Independence Day.

The video caused anger and commotion on social media, and many people called on the government to take severe action against sexual harassers.

Pakistan is angry about the Minar-e-Pakistan incident

The Twitter account @AliRiz24 said: “Thousands of people are harassed every day. From the elite to these bhukhars are involved. It’s not even a problem. Aren’t women being harassed in the office? University. University market. Nowhere. No. Even in the Holy Sharif.”

Said Bilal Ahmed said it is very frustrating to see Pakistanis morally degraded.

He said on Twitter: “Not only should men not behave in this way, but all others have a responsibility to prevent crime and report the same behavior.”

Ehtisham Qhan accused the parents of the hooligans for failing to teach them how to treat women.

“[I] I can’t see such a video. Looking at these idiots makes me really frustrated, it shows their background and education,” he wrote on Twitter.

“They and their parents are also ashamed of not teaching them how to respect women,” he added.

Minar-e-Pakistan incident caused a network sensation

Pakistanis, especially women, became nervous after a video clip of a woman being groped, brutally treated and sexually harassed in Minar-e-Pakistan went viral on social media on Independence Day.

The woman is a TikTok female star. She said that the men fumbled and beat her and threw her into the air for two and a half hours.

As seen in the video, after hordes of men of all ages climbed up the fence and attacked the woman, the incident triggered anger and widespread criticism of the widespread misogyny in Pakistan.

The victim told the police that the man touched her, tore off her clothes, beat her, and then threw her into the air. In addition, they also robbed her of 15,000 rupees, robbed her mobile phone, and removed her gold ring and earrings.

Among the hundreds of men, many just stood there and even made a video. Only one person saved the woman and helped her leave the park.

400 people were sued for complaints from the victims.
