Peshawar: After completing the investigation of the Malam Jaba scandal in three and a half years, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) handled the case without taking any further action.

In 2020, according to an order of the Peshawar High Court, a high-level official committee submitted a 6-page report stating that the 270 acres of land in Malam Jaba belonged to the tourism department and its income records were wrong.

The former chairman of the Ehtesab Committee and (retired) General Hamid Khan raised serious objections in a letter dated April 15, 2015, IW/EC/MalamJabba/01, calling the bidding process suspicious.

The documents show that the former CM Pervez Khattak decided to contact the Australian government or PAF about the Malam Jaba project at two meetings on October 11 and December 19, 2013, but the tourism department did not contact them.

The documents confirmed that the project did not set feasibility, technical, financial or pre-qualification criteria.
