On Sunday, a woman was killed by a stray bullet in the Shah Faisal Colony area. Three other people were injured in different shooting incidents in the city.
30-year-old Fauzia, Zahoor’s wife, died after being hit by a stray bullet in a house in the Bareli Colony in the Shah Faisal Colony area. After receiving the news, the police and rescuers rushed to their homes and sent the wounded to the Jinnah Graduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medical legal procedures.
The deceased’s family told the police that she was asleep on the roof of the house when the stray bullet hit and killed her.
In another shooting incident, a woman was injured in Sher Khan Muhalla in the area of the Pirabad police station in Orangi district. She was taken to Abasi Shahid Hospital. The injured woman was identified as 28-year-old Marina Khan, the wife of Zaib Khan. The police said a stray bullet hit and injured her.
In addition, a teenage boy was injured in a shooting incident in Lyari within the jurisdiction of the Kalri Police Station. He was transferred to a civilian hospital in Karachi. The victim was identified as 17-year-old Samir, Arif’s son. The police said he was also injured by a stray bullet and they are investigating.
At the same time, Kaleemullah, 23-year-old son of Iftikhar Hussain, was shot dead in a shooting incident in Korangi district. He was transferred to JPMC. The police said the victim was shot dead near his home for reasons that are not yet clear. Further investigation is ongoing.
