The 2021 NBA Draft draws come and go, with only a few small surprises. The Raptors and Cavaliers both entered the top four, but at the end of the day, the Pistons and Rockets — they had the second and best lottery odds, respectively — Complete the top two draft picks.

Nonetheless, this has not stopped some of the team representatives at hand from being disappointed that their team has not made progress.

Most notably, Sven Cash, the vice president of basketball operations for the Pelicans, seems particularly dissatisfied with where the New Orleans draft pick has fallen.

After the Pelicans were announced as the 10th overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, Cash looked disappointed and frustrated about missing the top four picks.

In other words, the Pelicans have a 60.6% chance of getting the 10th pick, and only a 20.2% chance of getting into the top four. Therefore, it is always possible for them to choose double digits at some point.

Of course, the odds of the Pelicans winning the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft are only 6.3%. This has achieved results and is also the reason why the team was able to make Duke star Zion Williamson the cornerstone of the team.

Maybe Cash is annoyed by the Pelicans’ inability to win or enter the top four in some organizational turmoil.New Orleans fired head coach Stan Van Gundy after one season in charge, according to reports from Williamson’s family Dissatisfied with the team.

Of course, signing the top four players in the 2021 NBA Draft will relieve some of the pressure on New Orleans’ management this offseason. It will be easier to add talents to the roster.

But now, Cash and Co. will have to hope that a good player will be selected with the 10th overall pick. So, this may be the source of her frustration.

Either way, her reaction must be one of the more noteworthy reactions in the relatively quiet lottery draw.
