After being stolen from the statue of Pakistani hockey legend Samiu La Khan in Bahawalpur, the hockey stick and ball were reinstalled on Monday.

The statue was recently erected at the Hawke Hospital in Bahawalpur, the hometown of the Olympians. It was installed to commemorate the left-wing winger, widely known as the “Pegasus” because of his exciting running on the left wing.

Residents of Bahawalpur said that a few days after the Olympic athlete statue was installed, its ball was stolen, and then the hockey stick disappeared during the weekend.

The police said that the Kanter Police Department had registered a theft. At the same time, the stolen items were added to the statue again.
