Minecraft has no shortage of interesting creatures, called creatures. Almost every Minecraft update will introduce new passive, neutral and hostile creatures. One of the classic and primitive hostile world thugs is the skeleton.

As early as the 2016 Minecraft 1.10 update, a new skeleton variant called “Wanderer” was introduced. Wanderers are some of the most underrated and little-known Minecraft mobs.

These creatures are similar to skeletons, but they have some unique characteristics that distinguish them from their original variants. This article provides Minecraft players with basic information about wandering creatures.

Everything about Strays in Minecraft

Basic

Pillars are a type of bone of their own, unique to cold Minecraft biomes, such as ice thorns, frozen oceans, or snowy tundra. Most of the skeletons generated in these biomes are wandering.

These hostile creatures have a unique appearance, and players can use it to identify them. The wanderers wore seemingly worn ice-gray armor.

Staying will shoot arrows at the player like a skeleton, except that the rover’s arrows will slow down the target. As the name suggests, this attack will cause the hit entity to move much slower than normal.

Slowness can be very harmful in battles with wanderers or any other mob nearby.

When strays are killed, they have a chance to drop the same items as skeletons, such as bones and arrows. However, they may drop some unique slow arrows.

Interestingly, by using the new powder snow, ordinary skeletons can be converted into stray skeletons. To do this, the player needs to trap the skeleton in the powder snow block and wait.

After about 15 seconds, the skeleton will become a wanderer.

Although this may be useful for several different reasons, players should be aware that converting a skeleton into a wanderer will in turn cause the mob to restore all of its health. Wanderers themselves will not be harmed by being trapped in powder snow.
