9th and 10th grade practical exams postponed to August 8th: Chairman of the Karachi Board of Directors

Karachi. Syed Sharaf Ali Shah, Chairman of the Karachi Board of Secondary Education (BSEK), announced the postponement of the annual committee practice exams for the 9th and 10th grades to August 8.
According to Shah, the practical exams for the 9th and 10th grade science group and general group will be held from August 9th to August 17th.
Shah said: “We made this decision to protect students and teachers from the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and provide them with convenience.”
He said that the principals and principals of schools registered with BSEK have been instructed to strictly abide by standard operating procedures (SOP) to prevent transmission during the practical exam.
SOP includes wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and other preventive measures.
The decision to postpone the exam was in line with the lockdown measures implemented by the Sindh Provincial Government from July 31 to August 8.
The Chief Minister of Sindh Province Murad Ali Shah chaired the meeting of the Coronavirus Task Force earlier in the day. The governor, medical experts and representatives of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) attended the meeting.
According to the decision of the meeting, the blockade will take effect immediately tomorrow (Saturday).
The Chief Minister said at a press conference after the meeting: “No matter what we notify, it is negotiated and allowed for NCOC to join.”
He said that there will be no examinations from Monday to Friday and the two weekends during the lock-in period.
The Chief Minister of Sindh urged all media professionals to encourage everyone to get vaccinated because all vaccines provide protection.
He said that in the next nine days, people should “forget everything else and focus on vaccination.”
