Military media quoted military media as saying on Monday that the security forces had launched an operation in North Waziristan to inform the existence of terrorists in Zanguthai.

Inter-Service Public Relations said in a statement that two terrorists were killed in the crossfire, while an officer and a soldier were injured in the operation.

It added that terrorists killed in the operation were involved in improvised explosive device (IED) explosions and fire attacks on security forces.
Earlier in the day, ISPR stated that a Pakistani Army soldier was martyred after terrorists opened fire on a military post in Ghariom in North Waziristan.

According to the military media department, the martyred soldier was identified as 37-year-old Naik Ghulam Mustafa, a resident of Muzaffarabad.

ISPR said that a search operation was carried out in the area to eliminate terrorists.
