17 passengers from Riyadh to Karachi tested positive for COVID-19

Karachi: Seventeen passengers on the flight from Riyadh to Karachi were screened at Jinnah International Airport and tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Geographic News Reported on Friday.

According to the report, flight SV-709 carried 250 passengers, and all passengers were screened for COVID-19 when they landed in Karachi.

According to sources from the Ministry of Health of Sindh Province, passengers were sent to the quarantine center immediately after the rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 was positive.

The health department said that all passengers will undergo PCR testing after being transferred to the quarantine center. The PCR test will be able to identify the coronavirus variants of infected individuals.
